There are a total of 66 books in the Bible- 39 in the Old Testament, 27 in the New Testament.

There are 1189 chapters- 929 in the Old Testament, 260 in the New Testament.

There are 31,102 verses- 23,145 in the Old Testament, 7,957 in the New Testament.

The middle chapter of the Bible is Psalms 117; which is also the shortest chapter in the Bible.

The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 119.

The shortest verse in the Old Testament is I Chronicles 1:25

The middle verse in the Bible is Psalms 118:8.

The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9.

The shortest versein the Bible is John 11:35.

The longest word in the Bible is Mahershalah-hash-baz in Isaiah 8:1.

Daniel 4:37 contains all the letters of the alphabet except “Q”.

Ezra 7:21 contains all the letters except “J”.

The word “eternity” occurs only in Isaiah 57:15.

The word "God" does not appear in the book of Esther.

Christ is the Center

There are 2 main divisions of the Bible:

            Old Testament                        New Testament

The central event of the Bible is Christ’s appearance on earth

The Old Testament points to it
The New Testament branches out from it

 The Old Testament is an account of a nation being prepared of God to receive the Man of the New Testament.

 

Numbers

1-unity; Trinity 3 in 1, husband and wife shall be one- Gen. 2:24

2-companionship; two are better than one- Eccl. 4:9-12, two of each  animal in the ark

3-holiness; Holy Ghost, third person in the Trinity; holy, holy, holy- Rev. 4:8
