An Interesting Bible Contest
Awhile back I had an interesting contest for my Sunday school class. This ran over the winter months and consisted of a Bible Sword drill and a series of questions on different passages of Scripture. I had a small plaque made with the name of our church and contest engraved on it.
I had them divide up into 4 teams. Each team had a captain that was responsible for their team studying. I put a chart on the wall by the door with each team listed and also the various Bible texts that the questions would be taken from.
We selected 1 Sunday out of each month for 4 months making a total of 4 rounds. Each round consisted of 10 Bible Sword drill references and approximately 20 Bible questions. One point was awarded for winning a Sword drill reference and 2 points for being the first to answer a Bible question correctly.
After each round I posted the scores and the plaque was hung over whichever team had the high score that round. After all 4 rounds I awarded the winning team with the plaque and a certificate which was hung permanently on one of the walls of our classroom.
